Announcement regarding Coronavirus:
Effective March 20th, 2020, we are doing Concierge Service only. Due to the concerns about the threat of the Novel Coronavirus, Transit Valley Animal Hospital is taking additional precautionary measures to keep our staff, doctors, animals, and clients safe. At this time, we are doing Concierge Service only. We are no longer having clients enter the building. We ask that you pull into our parking lot and give us a call (716-688-1737). Please remain in your vehicle with your pet. We will discuss your needs by phone and at the end of the phone conversation, a staff member will come to your car to bring your pet into the hospital for examination. When the evaluation is complete, we will discuss any findings and recommendations and carry out treatment for your pet. Then we will return your pet to you at your vehicle. Please have all cats in carriers and all dogs on a leash. If you need prescription medication refills, heartworm/flea/tick preventatives or prescription diets please call us when you are in the parking lot and we will bring these out to your vehicle. Our goal is to continue to provide full service veterinary care to your beloved pets. As of now, we are open during our regular business hours Monday through Friday 7:30am – 5pm and Saturday 7:30am -12pm and offering all our services. It is important that our team stay healthy and that we do what we can to mitigate the spread of this virus. If you are in need of our Concierge Service, please call 716-688-1737. Thank you for understanding, The staff of Transit Valley Animal Hospital |
The 2020 Tick Season Has Started!
Due to the mild winter this year in Buffalo, we have already seen an increase in the number of ticks on dogs and cats this spring. Along with the tick exposure, we have seen an increase in the number of dogs positive for lyme disease and other tick related diseases. We are recommending clients start flea, tick, and heartworm prevention NOW. Please call the hospital at (716) 688-1737 with any questions or to order medications. Sincerely, Louis Budik, DVM Jennifer Sutton, DVM |
In November, the staff of Transit Valley Animal Hospital teamed up with Drs. Jean Feldman, Vicki Bentley, Amy Ortez, Jeanne Best, and technician, Haley Mitter, to help "Chewy" the llama. Chewy was having trouble breathing and required ultrasonography and further examination to evaluate the cause.
Chewy is currently stable and happy. Check out the photos from Chewy's visit! |
